American football linebacker Jovan Belcher of the Kansas City Chiefs committed suicide Saturday at the team's facilities after allegedly killing his girlfriend at the couple's home, local media reported.
Belcher got into an argument with his girlfriend Saturday morning before shooting her multiple times, police were quoted as saying by the Kansas City Star newspaper. His mother, who was visiting the couple and their baby, allegedly witnessed the incident.The 25-year-old player then drove to team practice facilities near their Arrowhead stadium.
