Woman dies after eating BBQ buffet

A woman died on Thursday after dining at a restaurant serving moo krata, or pork barbeque grilled at the table, a few days ago. A post mortem examination detected signs of a streptococcus bacteria infection. Three other diners were also infected.

The morning after visiting the buffet restaurant, the 23-year old female graduate student came down with a headache and mild fever.

@Disc 3 - These buffets are the ones found on the road in open air environment. Majority of the better ones are in department stores and they clean and hygenic. I wouldn't eat at the street side buffet in open air ones. Sanitation and the quality of meat is not that good there that is why its only like 99 baht in some local places.

"The victim’s relatives believe she died as the result from eating at the restaurant as she had no prior medical condition." In the absence of any clinical evidence, that's a bizarre and absurd "belief".

That place in the photo looks exactly like the all you can eat BBQ buffet on Thanon Songprapa @ Soi 30, opposite the 7 Eleven...but the article states the location is Chiang Mai in the north?
