D10, what part of 'she just got hit by a truck' did you miss? I suppose if you were hit by a truck you would have all of your senses and know exactly what to do.

I thought Thailand was a Bhuddist country. Sadly mistaken. People just don't care about others. How could anyone just drive by these poor people?

very sad and clearly something suspicious about this. Of course there will be no transparency in the investigation. sad but we all know we can forget about any justice in this case. Sympathies to the bereaved mother.

I'm sorry, but why is a government official bailing this guy out? Do government officials have no decency whatsoever.

The cynic in me wonders what the truck was carrying and for who. The fact the police said they will be impartial tells us they won't.

Poor little tyke , commiserations to his mother.

Anyone notice that the news have no problem with naming both the mother, child and hit and run driver, but the C7 officials name is conveniently withheld - I wonder why :-)

This is disgusting, but, sadly, not surprising. For the mother, ths heart breaking. The attitude of people that people here on motorized vehicles have towards pedestrians and cyclists is appalling. I am sure we have all experienced the impatient motorcyclist honking at us to get out of his way while walking on a footpath. I saw one the other day knock down and injure a foreign women (I think she was about 63) on Sukhumvit. He simply sped off. The police were indifferent. We (all foreigners) got her a taxi to the nearest hospital.
