Illegal drugs worth B250m seized

Police have seized 500,000 methamphetamine pills and 50 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated value of 250 million baht, Deputy PM Chalerm Yubamrung said on Friday.

Officials from the Office of the Narcotic Control Board (ONCB) arrested Chatchai Charnpookiaw, Kongsak Woomare and Siewyi Sae-Chen for charges of illegal drugs possession and distribution.

Deputy PM Chalerm said the three accused confessed that the yaba pills and crystal meth came from neighbouring countries and they were planning to deliver the merchandise to clients in the Central region of Thailand.

Mr Chalerm said any police found involved with illegal drug activities would be immediately discharged.

He also reiterated his view that anyone involved in major drug trafficking should face the maximum penalty of execution, which should be carried out within 15 days of final conviction.

Are you confused, I sure am. Which is it, do the police get discharged and civilians get the chop or do they both get it.

Come on BP , be a little critical about what you write and proof read please.

"Mr Chalerm said any police found involved with illegal drug activities would be immediately discharged."

I hope the army chief will say the same to the soldiers.

'Mr Chalerm said any police found involved with illegal drug activities would be immediately discharged.'

I wonder if they will also face court? Probably not.

He also reiterated his previous view that anyone involved in major drug trafficking should face the maximum penalty of execution, which should be carried out within 15 days of final conviction.

… like a broken record. (Sorry, today’s MP3 Kidz won’t understand that analogy.) Speaking of records, does anyone remember Ice-T and Cop Killer?
