Attack on Ramet 'politically motivated'

The assault on Democrat deputy spokesman Ramet Ratanachaweng was politically motivated, Opposition and Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Tuesday.

Mr Ramet, a legal adviser to the major opposition party, suffered a skull fracture and severe concussion when he was attacked outside his condominium in Bangkok's Bang Na district on Monday night.

    @whatajoke #4: You obviously forget that PT won the election and for many red-shirts that means: The winner takes it all. The DEMs are only allowed to complain again if they ever win an election – PT and red-shirt logic.

    Let's see now, in the space of a week; Abhisit charged with murder, Abhisit now possibly charged with assault and bodily harm, Thaksin on TV just in case you doubted the reach of his influence, Puea Thai trying to sell the country their lemon, now this. Co-incidence, or a ramping up of pressure and heat ahead of the bun fight expected in 2013. Funny how its the one side that seems to suffer the brutal attacks much more often.
