The cabinet has agreed to extend the term of the diesel excise tax reduction of 0.005 baht per litre for another month, until Jan 31, 2013, government spokesman Thossaporn Sereerak said on Tuesday.

That number doesn't look right. That's 0.5 satang, hardly a great tax reduction.

Instead of having overloaded governemnt subsidized trucks destroying our poorly built highways we should be using rails to take things to the port .
