Macau event organisers accused of LM

The Pitak Siam group on Wednesday filed a complaint with Crime Suppression Division police against former supreme commander Gen Chaisit Shinawatra and organisers of a Muay Thai event in Macau on Dec 5, accusing them of insulting the monarchy.

The complaint was filed by Adm Chai Suwanphap, acting chairman of the Pitak Siam group, who was accompanied by Taikorn Polsuwan, a group supporter, and a lawyer.

In the complaint, Gen Chaisit, Pol Lt-Col Kunthon Prachuapmoh and other organisers of the boxing event are  alleged to have violated Article 112 of the Criminal Code, the lese majeste law, as well as Articles 59 and 83 of the Criminal Code for falsely announcing that the tournament's winning team would be presented with a trophy sponsored by His Majesty the King.
