RAYONG: Police on Thursday arrested a 42-year-old man on charges of raping a German tourist in his liquor shop in Klaeng district of this eastern province on Christmas night.

The 22-year-old woman accused Somchai Jamnongwaree, or Mor Jamnongwaree, the owner of a local liquor shop, of raping her when she met him on Tuesday night.

The alleged incident occurred at Mr Somchai’s shop which was located near the beach behind the Novotel Rim Pae Resort in tambon Chark Pong, where the tourist stayed, said Pol Lt Col Suparb Nakthong, chief of investigation at Ban Krum station.

@ disc 2 - Just because the lady agreed to spend time with the man and drink whisky with him does not mean it was not rape. Your attitude frightens me, though the police will probably agree with you.

Rape is a crime whatever the circumstances. But really... What was she thinking ? Stupid people just ask for trouble.

Ride'em cowboy. I don't know what the woman expected.

Since cowboy's modus of operandi seems well known and there are no other complaints and she willingly went to him, I'd say it will be considered mutual and rightly so.
