It is another blow to the country's reputation for dealing with livestock following international criticism in 2011 when Australian TV aired footage of Indonesian abattoir workers torturing cows shipped from Australia.

"I think using animals for food is an ethical thing to do, but we've got to do it right. We've got to give those animals a decent life, and we've got to give them a painless death. We owe the animal respect." A quote from Temple Grandin.

This is really outrageous to treat the animals this cheap manner before they are slaughtered. The last time animal ill-treatment in Indonesia was exposed, Australia said it would ban live animal exports. But this is yet continuing ? Fantastic export standards Australia..!!
