Islamic seminar in Pattani

A three-day international seminar entitled "Islamic Studies in Changing World: Challenges and Opportunities" opened on Monday morning at the Prince of Songkla University, Pattani campus.

The seminar, which ends on Wednesday, is being attended by about 700 Muslim academics from 40 countries including Egypt, Qatar, Sudan, Chad, Tanzania, Turkey, Pakistan, China, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Thailand.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Aziz Pitakkumpol, the Chularatchamontri.
