3-day-old baby dead in garbage

PHUKET - A dead three-day old baby was found in a pile of trash by a junk dealer on Wednesday, police said.

Pol Sub Lt Suporn Muangkai, duty officer at Vichit police station, received a report of the dumped baby girl at 11am.

The baby, wrapped in a towel, was found in a bag among the trash next to Chao Fa Road in tambon Vichit in Muang district of Phuket province.

    heart breaking. I hope the authorities do track down the mother / father of this child, these people obviously have serious issues that need addressing immediately. Be it from a social services or a criminal angle this has to be solved. RIP
