Buddha image on toilets sparks anger

Two Thais living in the Netherlands have begun an online campaign demanding authorities remove pictures of Lord Buddha displayed on public toilets in a city there, according to Thai Rath newspaper.

Facebook users “Anuchit Pomthong” and “Nok Ja” have posted the pictures of the toilets on Brunnshal Road in Brunssum city and have urged Thai netizens to join their cause.

They say the use of the images in this way is offensive to Buddhists residing in the country.
