PHANGNGA - Security forces on Saturday rounded up another 96 Rohingya migrants in the Andaman Sea, the fourth group to reach southern Thailand in less than a month, Spring News Agency reported.

The 62 men, six women and 28 children were found in a long-tailed boat floating north of Koh Ra in tambon Koh Phra Thong of Takua Pa district.

All of them were in exhausted condition and some were sick.

Their religion is different and they never had any sort of ties to the US, but, otherwise, does anyone see a situation similar to the "Vietnamese Boat People" developing?

Your comment that Muslims "breed like rabbits" and "have babies by the dozen" are both racist and completely wrong.
Indonesia, the most populous Muslim nation in the world and Thailand's close neighbour, has an annual population growth rate of 1.03% (World Bank and CIA World Factbook).
The highest growth rate I can find is Qatar at about 4.5% which has tiny population; most of the poor Muslim nations with a high growth rate 2-3% PA also have a high mortality rate among the young, so you have very little to worry about.

Khun Gto #3, yes, "Thai people are compassionate and caring," but what have that gotten us so far with the Cambodians? We let them set up refugee camp on our land, but when the conflict in their country was over, they did not want to leave, but claim our land as their own. And when we insisted, they arrested our citizens, and shelled our schools and villagers along the border. Now, they are even trying to expand their border deeper into our land at Preach Vihear. So, I say enough with these ungrateful foreigners. Let us focus our attention and resources on taking care of our own poor and needy people, especially, those in E-Saan.

Khun Gto #3, Khun Nitnoi #2, made a good point. These people breed like rabbits. That's how they created the overcrowded condition in their own country. And when the land can no longer supporting them, they have to go somewhere else, where the same vicious cycle repeats itself over and over again. While the native Europeans have achieved ZERO population growth, their Muslim immigrants are having babies by the dozens, overwhelming "free" social welfare services. And they don't assimilate neither. France and the UK will soon be taken over by their rapidly growing Muslim population, who're now demanding Islamic Sharia Law.

The best thing we could do is account these people as Foreign Tourists so that our Government could easily exceed its targets tourists number this year. Let them spend their money here and pay for 15 days extension and the government will earn more money for the Thai people.

Thailand will not become Muslim because of a few victims escaping tyranny in Burma. What a ridiculous thing to say. Thai people are compassionate and caring. Rohingya or Hmong refugees deserve a chance to be free of torture and murder. Open your heart nitnoi to show them the true Thai spirit.

If Thiland doesn't stop this kind of invasion soon it will be muslim nation much sooner than average Thais would like to see.
