Falling tree kills rich businessman

PATHUM THANI – A wealthy businessman has died after he was crushed by a tree that fell on him while he was riding a motorcycle in Muang district on Sunday, according to reports.

Police and medical units pulled the severely injured man out from under the six-metre tree and rushed him to hospital.

He was later identified as Charoen Chanpalangsri, owner of Polycon Ltd, a two billion to three billion baht a year business.

Now it's a six-metre tree. Time for a new story: Dead tree grows phenomenally fast.

yeah..No six foot tree ever mentioned in the article.

AS of 19:38, the tree is no longer described as "six feet". The law of Kharma doesn't always have a reason obvious to those, who see it at work.

aha, the 'six foot' disappeared, but what was it then? Just our ordinary 'killer tree' waiting for businessman-motercyclists?

I must be blind here. I see NO reference to the size of the tree. Must not be reading the same article as D#1 and D#2

uh huh, a six foot high dead tree ( dead trees lose volume/ weight don't they) . First a farang drowns in a plastic bag and now killer trees strike.

Sorry but I cannot help but be a wee bit suspicious whenever reading " a rich businessman dies in unusual circumstances" in the LOS

Is this only news because he was rich? Should we react differently because of this? RIP for an unfortunate motorcyclist.

Six feet tall or six feet wide tree? Story hard to believe the tree just fall and hit him as he is riding by.
