Jakarta police have arrested 16 suspects and seized 8.2 kilos of crystal methamphetamine, 6,700 ecstasy pills, 2,300 ecstasy capsules and 1,100 "Happy Five" pills in a crackdown on a drug syndicate they claim was controlled by three foreign death row prisoners.
Lee Che Hen from Malaysia, Singaporean Tan Sualin and Nigerian Adame Wilson are suspected of running their illicit business from behind bars via mobile phones.
All three had previously been sentenced to death under Indonesia’s strict drug trafficking laws, according to the Jakarta Globe.
