Women warned of date rape drug

Woman and teenage girls are being warned to be aware of men trying to spike their drinks after reports of widespread use of the so-called date rape drug GHB (gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid) in Chiang Mai’s nightlife and entertainment venues.

The stern warning follows the police seizure of a large quantity of GHB, one of the three most common date rape drugs in addition to rohypnol and ketamine, from a man in Chiang Mai.

Officials warned the drug was prevalent in the northern province.

Only losers with low self-esteem does this. Seriously this is disgusting. I hope guys will think twice before doing this act. What would you have done if this happens to your; Wife, daughters, sisters, or your mothers... What we woman wished for is that, rape never really existed.

Sensible advice, just not sure much of it will be even acknowledged by young partygoers (be they male or female). I hope anyone caught spiking drinks is punished severely as its a disgusting crime
