Dems: Why not Pongsapat too?

The Democrat Party on Friday called for the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to also summons Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen, the Pheu Thai Party candidate in the Bangkok election, to testify about the awarding of contracts for hundreds of abandoned police station buildings and flats because he has also been implicated in the issue.

Chavanont Intarakomalyasut, the Democrat Party spokesman, was referring to Rak Thailand Party leader Chuvit Kamolvisit's claim that Pol Gen Pongsapat was also to blame for the unfinished projects because he was the one who signed to approve the bidding for the construction of the projects.

Pol Gen Pongsapat did so, when he was still an assistant police chief holding the rank of lieutenant general, in his capacity as chairman of a committee overseeing construction projects.

I don't see how the Dems can weasel their way out of this one. They initiated the contract.

    "Dems: Why not Pongsapat too?"

This more like a confession of the DEM rather than their allegation against Dr. Pongsapat. The biggest problem and shortcoming of the DEMs are they always believe that others are as bad as they are. With that kind of mindset and attitude, they will never improve, and always be the losers.

Pongsapat hasn't been called for questioning because Thaksin hasn't told Tharit to call him.

I thought that was pretty obvious.

Remember what had happened to the previous governor Apirak K. He was also doing the same accordingly about the firetrucks but the governor had to resigned because of the false accusations. So Ponsapat is he going to resign from this race for governor too...Too bad for DSI guys if they make double standards...

"Pol Gen Pongsapat admitte the revelation by Mr Chuvit might affect his campaign for the March 3 gubernatorial election, butsaid he would not resort to taking legal action against anyone"
Because he knows very well what would be the outcome in a legal action.

Here we go. Now it gets interesting!

I think it is just another unwise move of the DEM. If the DEM really think it is the Yingluck government and Dr. Pongsapat to be blamed, not the DEM and ST themselves. Then why didn't the DEM make the move much earlier as an offence, rather than a defence tactic as the public believe?

Oh it is desperate times for the DP

Good. Exposing everyone involved and we will catch the real mastermind behind the fishy process and lock him up behind bar forever and confiscate all "his" assets.
