Suspect in teacher slaying killed

The man suspected of murdering Narathiwat teacher Chonlathee Charoenchol last month was shot dead in a gun battle with security forces in Pattani on Saturday, authorities said.

A joint task force of police and soldiers raided house No 9/1 on Tapha Road in tambon Taluban of Saiburi district around 11.30am after receiving a tip that a militant suspect wanted on arrest warrants was hiding there.

Knowing that he was surrounded, Suhaidee Tahe, 31, opened fire at them and fled into the nearby forest, officers said.

This is actually interesting "news". It seems people are willing to inform on the terrorists, if they know they are wanted. This could mean that if the government can find out who the terrorists are and publish a warrant, then people who live close by are willing to inform the government of the terrorists whereabouts.
Of course, the identity of the terrorists have to be confirmed first. As mentioned in another article, I suggest miniature drone planes with cameras for that task, as they are relatively cheap, can't easily be seen, can't be shot down, and are likely to eventually catch the terrorists in action.

In fact, his whole family should be definitely expelled from Thailand, their estate confiscated. And that should happen with every known terrorist's family.

Arrest the people who were protecting him. Surely they are involved. His whole neighbourhood should be suspect.

How do you flee if you are surrounded?

No less than he deserved. To paraphrase an old saying "Those who live by the gun will die by the gun"
Why can't people just live in peave and harmony?
