Officials in Phitsanulok province on Wednesday impounded nine teak logs and 10 large padauk logs that had been illegally harvested.
Forest official Preecha Phanrudee said a team of about 50 forest officials and soldiers inspected areas in Suan Miang National Reserved Forest and Kaeng het Khwae National Park after receiving a tip-off from villagers about illegal logging.
The joint force found 19 logs and some processed timber. Many of the logs were from trees more than 100 years old, Mr Preecha said.
