Pongsapat: Cut commuting time 30%

Pheu Thai candidate for governor Pongsapat Pongcharoen has promised to help cut the time Bangkokians spend commuting to and from work during rush hours by 20-30%.

The Pheu Thai Party candidate, emphasising his party was the government party, announced two strategies to reach the target -- the extension of the transportation network to encourage more people to use public transport, and to increase the efficiency of traffic flow management.

Under his care, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) would create connectivity between the skytrain (BTS) and the underground train by building monorail, or light rail, services. He would support scrapping the construction of the planned expressway from Ngam Wong Wan to Prasertmanoonkit Road and replace it with a light railway.

What, Peua Thai increases the number of cars on BKK streets by 30% with their first car scheme and then let's suppose they come in and reduce the number of cars by 30% (in 6 months of course). Wouldn't we then be back where we started?

Train projects are good sources of corruption income. How soon the Thai people forget the politician that was robbed with 200,000,000 thb in his house, while working on a government salary. You get what you vote for and you are vote this man you have no one to blame when the country sinks further than yourselves.

"increase the efficiency of traffic flow management". Completely impossible for a city designed for 1.4 million cars that already has 8,000,000+ cars. Why doesn't the news or the academics call these politicians on these wildly fictitious claims? By doing nothing Thailand will elect another worthless politician that instead of fulfilling wild election promises, will use the position to strengthen his boss'es stranglehold on Thailand and his own pockets. Hard to believe Thai people are not challenging these false claims.

Where will he ( if ever he really tried (( which is against PTP policies )) to implement his promises ) get the credits from?
Please dissolve PTP so they can reincarnate as PbT (Promised by Thaksin).

With all these promises how about the promise to keep Bangkok red-shirt free? With that he would even have a chance to get some votes from the normal DEMs voters.

Gosh the promises keep multiplying, how the hectic will he pay for all of these pie in the sky ideas? Sure would be nice to have a candidate that offers obtainable ideas and followed through on them.
