The experts' recommendation is an emphatic yes to airline passengers - but a warning to cockpit crews that breaking wind could distract the pilot and pose a safety risk.

    I always suspected this to be the case, as I can't stop letting rip once I am airborne. Thankfully the background noise usually obscures the release.

    Use of charcoal??? I thought steering away from fire prone materials to fire proof would be better.
