National artist Arvuth dies at 71

Air Vice Marshal Arvuth Ngoenchuklin, former director-general of the Fine Arts Department and a national artist in Thai architecture, died of liver cancer at Siriraj Hospital at 5.40am on Sunday. He was 71.

A funeral for him will be held at Sala Klang Nam of Wat Debsirin, with a bathing rite being held Sunday evening.

AVM Arvuth was responsible for designing the crematoriums for the Princess Mother, HRH Princess Srinagarindra, HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana, and HRH Princess Bejaratana.
