Pupils accuse principal of misconduct

The principal of a district high school in Phitsanulok will be transferred out of the area after pupils rallied Monday to demand his expulsion after accusing him of acting improperly towards six teenage girl students, mostly in Matthayom 2 and 3 (Grade 8 and 9).

About 100 students of Wat Boat Sueksa School in Wat Bot district gathered in front of the school’s shrine this morning.

They demanded the removal of their headmaster Samarn Sareekham and an investigation into his alleged misconduct, and that it be concluded within seven days.

If guilty, should be fired - not transferred

I doubt if there are other schools who would welcome him after knowing all of these accusations against him. Transferring him to other schools is just like putting the students of which ever school would be in a very dangerous situation.

HA! It won't matter whether he did ANYTHING or not--Once something is accused in Thailand--That person is guilty. It's like sheep following a Ram in charge is all. I have never seen a society that hears one side and makes their minds up as Thais. It's as if they are lopsided minded-closed on one side. This guy has NO chance, either way.

Too many times what does become known is just the tip of the iceberg. If this alleged "inappropriate and unacceptable" behavior is being brought into the open and is true, chances are there was even more inappropriate incidents that won't be mentioned. Check thoroughly and if true, but not criminal, put this guy down south in a boy's technical school.

I hope there is more evidence against this administrator than the claims outlined in this article. As for wanting the investigation concluded in 7 days, these children need to be reminded quite firmly and aggressively that they are not in a position to make such a demand.
