EC asked to probe lottery numbers

A Bangkok governor candidate has filed a complaint with the Bangkok Election Commission (EC) asking it to investigate the lottery draw on Saturday and whether the winning two-digit number was fixed for political purposes.

The complaint targets the drawing of the two-digit winning number  “09”, which is the candidacy number of Pheu Thai Party candidate Pol Cap Pongsapat Pongcharoen.

Krit Suriyaphol, the No 20 candidate, said Deputy Commerce Minister Nattawut Saikuar said on a stage at the National Housing Estate in Bang Kapi that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra gave him only one lucky lottery number, the number “9”.

Maybe it's just the luck or unluck of the draw, But my wife told me that certain combinations of the lottery have become unavailble from the vendors. They are being withheld or are being refused. both the offical and the unoffical lotteries. Strange!

Perhaps buying food on the table for the kids, instead lottery tickets officially or numbers undergound, would nurish the brains of the future adults here in Thailand.

Such Governor candidates will never be able to fulfil their duties; they are not educated enough. Obviously they know nothing about mathematical, natural occurences that happen by chance and they are not able to make simple(or maybe not so simple) probability calculations. Maybe they even never had read a book. Otherwise they would know all these stories published long time ago (e.g. the construed comparison and fate of former US presidents Lincoln and Kennedy all exactly 100 years apart and both followed by Vice presidents named Johnson, etc). Poor uneducated; it's just said in nowadays Thailand.

Lets return to science and not fiction, how many times did these supposed rigged numbers come up before PTP came to power and how many times after they came to power. If stats show a deviation from the norm there maybe a case if not it's politics.

    .
    What if......

    1. Mrs.Noi...went to the market. She stopped by at big tree, and she saw a number 7 pops up.
    2. Mr.Bua went to his spirit house,he saw the incense curbed itself to represent number 5 ?
    3. Me-o the cat that belongs to your neighbor has 3 kittens, all black.

Would 7, 5 and 3 be the numbers to watch during BKK election ?

( Don't come to me, I know nothing about lotto )

This is Thailand... I wouldn't rule anything out. And the Thai lottery has often been suspected of being rigged.

And Genii - While it's true that there are lots of 57 year olds, and some of those will have car numbers that are number 9, not many of them are running for Bangkok governor, are connected to the government (which runs the lottery) nor have Yingluck's personal prediction (according to Nattawut)...

Obviously Sirron has been fooled by his beloved PT government. The corresponding lucky numbers lately are totally unacceptable. Ask any profitable bookie!

well this is Thailand so expect anything and everything ha ha ha

  • Discussion 3 : 19 Feb 2013 at 18.063

Humbug! Anyone smart enough to figure out how to possibly rig the lottery would be smart enough to pick numbers that are no way related to the rigger.
