DSI cancels police chiefs' sessions

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) on Wednesday cancelled plans to question the current national police chief and his predecessor in the 5.8-billion baht scandal of unfinished construction of police stations.

The decision to excuse national police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew and ex-chief Pol Gen Priewpan Damapong was made following a meeting between Thanin Prempree, deputy chief of the DSI's Bureau of Special Crime 2, and officials from the Comptroller General's Department.

The officials were invited to clarify the department’s regulations on state procurement procedures. The DSI investigator said he would compare them with what actually happened as the construction project became delayed.

It is almost like saying "yes, this is corruption! Any questions?"

As the current and the outgoing Chiefs of Police, what possible useful information would they have to offer on police matters … oh, wait...

Tarit was assigned a specific job by the government. To light as many fires as possible around Suthep and Abhisit to make the Democrats soften their stand against, bringing home a criminal on the run to a hero's welcome. Unfortunately that is not working, most of the cases seem to be backfiring on the P.T, the reds and Tharit this is a sorry state of affairs. Tarit had no business to involve the police chiefs, he knew that the wrond doing was in the current police department. He could have handed over the case to the criminal justice system. He will soon become like reds, languishing in some jail.

Quote " He and Pol Gen Priewpan were high-ranking officials and it was rather insensitive of the DSI chief to simply say in public that he and Pol Gen Priewpan would be summoned for questioning in the suspected corruption case."

On the other hand ,Mr Tarit AV and Suthep are mere low life Dems so dragging them through the mud is okay isn't it, Disgusting double standards and the common link -all ex or servicing police.

The fire was getting too close to the Puea Thaksin regime so Tarit got a Skype call from Dubai and quickly cancelled any further investigations. The fugitive's dictatorship in action again.
