Court: No proof who shot zoo worker

The Criminal Court on Thursday ruled it could not establish who fired the shot that killed a Dusit Zoo worker on April 10, 2010 during the anti-government protests of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).

Mana Atran, 24, an employee of Dusit Zoo in Bangkok's Dusit district, hit in the head by a high-velocity bullet.

The court was asked for a ruling by state prosecutors, who requested that it rule whether or not he was killed by a shot fired by soldiers assigned by the Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES) to clampdown on the UDD protests.

Sounds like he stepped in front of a bullet from someone who wanted to poach a deer.

"Mr Boonmee said hid nearby for about 20 minutes". "Moreover, Mr Boonmee told the court that soldiers had told him to crouch down when he heard gunfire". a bit of contradiction here.

"When he emerged he found two empty cartridge shells about 25 metres from Mana's body. He also found in the area a soldier's green shirt,a shield and a truncheon".

How convenient. And since the red DSI and their inquisitors efforts to pin blame on the military failed, the case is now closed. Red justice in all it's splendor.
