New Chao Phraya bridge planned

A new bridge over the Chao Phraya River linking two districts of Samut Prakan will ease congestion and reduce logistics costs for transport businesses, says Deputy Transport Minister Prasert Chanruangthong.

Construction of the 49-billion-baht suspension bridge will begin in 2016 and finish three years later, he said on Friday.

The bridge will connect Phra Samut Chedi and Muang district of the province.
