Live camera action from election police

Ten police officers keeping tabs on voting during Sunday's governor election will wear cameras beaming live images from polling centres to the police bureau monitoring centre, Pol Maj-General Adul Narongsak, a deputy city police chief, said on Friday.

Each officer would carry a camera fitted to his shoulder, he said.

The cameras would record both video and audio. They would transmit on the 3G mobile spectrum to the main office of the Metropolitan Police Bureau and would be used in the detection of any wrongdoing. The recordings could later be used as evidence if needed.

Well this is just a sort of intimidation, its like the police are being their wearing color RED..
Remember Pol Maj-General Adul Narongsak, he is under control of Mr. Thaksin.

@ Disc 3 I know what the story says. I didn't write, "as they actually cast their vote" - you did. Yes, the hand clicker counters are another example of Big Brother's wishes; thanks for the reminder, appreciated. As for why so many posters slam every idea; it's because the majority of the "ideas" from this puppet government, run by Big Brother, are worth slamming.

Disc 1. The story doesn't say they are recording people as they actually cast their vote. That's still secret in Thailand, if only just. And only 10 cameras. What about the hand clicker counters police will be given to count voters entering booths, so they can compare actual vote results? You forgot to criticise that. I'm not pro-anyone, and I'm as disillusioned as many other people, but why do so many posters have to immediately slam every idea?

I'm not sure that capturing people on film, as they vote, is a good thing.... Sounds a little "Big Brother" - but, hey, if no one is jumping up and down, saying you're trampling my civil rights to dust, then I guess Thai people are okay with it.
