A violent storm has ripped through more than 100 houses in the northeastern province of Sakon Nakhon and killed at least one villager.

Vicharn Thaenhin, head of Sakon Nakhon's Disaster Prevention And Mitigation Office, said on Sunday that more than 100 houses in Muang district have been ravaged by the high winds.

He said Montree Dasopha drowned after he was swept away while fishing near a temple in Muang district.

I mean, how can anyone the power of nature.....you build and rebuild and re-rebuild....I don't think this is a case of careless construction, but more of a case of very strong storms.....
