Thai-Belgian Bridge shut 60 days

Lanes on the Thai-Belgian Bridge on Rama IV Road in inner Bangkok will be closed consecutively for 60 days from Tuesday, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration says.

Repair work will be carried out on the 25-year-old bridge, which crosses over the Sathon-Rama IV intersection, between 10pm and 5am from Tuesday, March 5, to May 15, Mr Surapol Arnawatpongpan, director of BMA’s Construction and Maintenance Division, said on Monday.

In the first phase, from Tuesday until April 5, motorists will be allowed to use only the inbound side, which heads to the Sam Yan intersection, he said.
