Storm rips through 300 Phayao homes

PHAYAO -- A powerful storm battered three tambons in Mae Chai district overnight, damaging more than 300 homes.

The hour-long storm brought heavy wind and rain that left a trail of destruction through tambon Mae Chai, tambon Sri Toy and tambon Charoen Rat. Damage was estimated at a million baht or more. 

The storm front hit about 7pm on Monday, and was followed by heavy overnight rain.
