iPad Mini thieves caught in Pattaya

Pattaya police on Saturday arrested two men accused of attacking a tourist on a beach and stealing his iPad Mini, 13,000 baht in cash and two cell phones.

Pol Lt Col Anek Srathongyu of Muang Pattaya police said the two suspects were named as Preecha Klaisuwan, 21, and Saharat Sakdinanuwat, 18.

Jirapong Jamnian, the victim, 19, told police that one of the two men hit him in the head with a wooden stick while he was resting on a beach playing his tablet computer.

An unusually rapid and effective response by police. Oh wait! The victim was Thai with an ipad, two phones and 13k in his wallet. Explains a lot.

Safety Zone? Sorry, did not know there is one or even such idea in Pattaya. Why would one needs a safety zone at a place/town/province or even in a Country for that matters? Do you mean outside of that zone, the entire country is a dangerous place to be? Sigh! What a beautiful Pattaya has become? Soon will be a place where you need to wear a body amour with personal properties chained to the body, then only you can lie down at the beach to enjoy the seaside. I am afraid very soon Pattaya is going to be a place gathered with International Criminals, not just locals! I have been told that all the GARBAGE of the world have descended in Pattaya!
