Weng Tojirakarn, a core member of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), has asked the attorney general to review and withdraw terrorism charges against 24 UDD leaders, including himself.
The Pheu Thai Party list MP said he did so by submitting an open letter to the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) on Tuesday morning.
In the letter, Mr Weng asked the attorney general to give him and other UDD core members justice, saying that they had been indicted on terrorism and other charges in connection with the red-shirt protests in 2010 by the OAG as recommended by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI).
