Southern insurgents 'target children'

Insurgents in the South are committing war crimes by targeting children in attacks against civilians, New York-based charity Human Rights Watch has warned.

The organisation claims that the frequency of attacks on the young has been escalating. It highlighted the May 1 incident in which four insurgents opened fire at a group of villagers outside a grocery shop in Muang district of Pattani, killing a three-year-old boy along with his father and four others.
