Amnesty bill passed in first reading

The House of Representatives on Thursday passed the first reading of the amnesty bill, proposed by Pheu Thai MP Worachai Hema, with a vote of 300-124.
Charoen Chankomol, the first Deputy House Speaker who chaired the House meeting, about 4.30pm asked MPs to vote whether to end the debate on the bill or continue with it.
A total of 300 MPs voted for the end of the debate while 125 wanted it to continue.
