The Appeals Court on Wednesday upheld the Criminal Court's decision to reject a lawsuit filed by Maj-Gen Chamlong Srimuang and five other People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) members against Jatuporn Prompan and three other red-shirt leaders.
The lawsuit stated that on Nov 8, 2010 Mr Jatuporn and other defendants in a press interview accused six PAD leaders of using the memorandum of understanding of 2000 on border issues signed with Cambodia to arouse nationalism and incite unrest. The interview was later posted on a website.
Mr Jatuporn and three other defendants were charged with defamation and violating the Computer Crimes Act of 2007.
