The Thai industries sentiment index (TISI) for July went down to 91.9, from 93.1 reported in June, Payungsak Chartsuthipol, chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), said on Thursday.
Industry confidence dropped to the lowest level this year on the back of a decline in orders, overall sale volume, production output and poor business performance.
Mr Payungsak said the main factors eroding manufacturers’ confidence over the month included concerns about the slowdown in domestic purchasing power, the flash floods that hit several provinces and continuing political turmoil.
