Democrats slam central fund spending

Democrat MPs on Thursday questioned the government's spending of last year's central fund and proposed that the amount sought from the 2014 budget be slashed.
The House of Representatives passed only three sections of the 2014 Budget Bill on the first day of 16 hours of debate. The meeting was adjourned about 1.30am on Thursday after Section 3 was passed with a vote of 287-107.
The House meeting resumed at 9.30am and started to deliberate Section 4, which concerns the 343,131 million baht central fund.
