The abbot of Wat Sripracha in Ayutthaya's Wang Noi district locked the door of a sermon hall on Wednesday morning, rejecting Buddhists who had come to make merit and leaving them to congregate outside.
A group of local people, some in white clothes, gathered outside the temple and demanded that Phra Khru Palad Apichart Suwanchoan explain why the hall had been closed. Local Buddhists usually use the hall to offer food and alms to monks.
