Four jailed for BJT office bombing

The Criminal Court on Monday sentenced four defendants to imprisonment and acquitted another for lack of evidence, for the bombing of the offices of the Bhumjaithai Party in 2010.
The suspects in the trial were Dejpol Puthajong, Kampol Khamkhong, Kobchai Boonplod, Suriya Phumwong and Varisriya Boonsom.
The prosecution told the court that on June 22, 2010 the five defendants and Anek Singkhunthod, who was convicted in a separate case, hid a bomb in a fruit vending pushcart that exploded outside the offices of the Bhumjaithai Party in Soi Phahon Yothin 43, Bangkok.
