Busy traffic around landmark tourist sites in Bangkok could soon be a thing of the past with a parking ban for tour buses and vans expected to be enforced later next month.

Only short-stay parking will be permitted for the large vehicles, which are blamed for pollution and rising traffic congestion around Sanam Luang, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace and Wat Pho.
