Credit users 'reluctant' to clear debt

Half of Bangkokians who use credit and personal loan cards repay only the minimum amount due each month, prompting fears they could be at higher risk of racking up unsustainable debts, according to a survey by Abac Poll.

Pabhada Chinwong, a business analysis manager at Assumption University, said the personal financial management survey questioned 1,205 people aged 25 to 60-years in Greater Bangkok, of whom 23.3% said they use some form of plastic cash.
