The Phra Khanong Provincial Court on Tuesday postponed the reading of the Appeal Court's ruling on the acquittal of three red-shirt supporters on charges of illegal stockpilking of weapons in 2010 because one of the defendants had died without the court being informed.
The Phra Khanong court judge then opened an inquest to confirm that a defendant had died, so a death certificate could be forwarded to the Appeals Court and relevant details of the judgement could be corrected.
Naruemon Warunrungroj, Surachai Nilsopha and Chatree Srichinda were acquitted on Aug 25, 2011 by the Phra Khanong Provincial Court on all charges, with the court giving them the benefit of the doubt on the credibility of some evidence.
