The duties of the Royal Forest Department are as follows: 1. Control monitoring and intrusion prevention, destruction of forests, crime and local responsibility under the law. 2. Plan and coordinate research on forests. 3. Encourage community forest management, forest plantation in the private sector and other related forms. 4. Conserve, protect and maintain and manage the use of forest land and give permissions relating to the use of wood, wood industry, forestry land and forest produce. 5. Education, research and development related to forest, forestry production and related to wood and wood products. 6. Perform any other duty required by law.
