Asia Plus Securities PCL was established in 1974 as Asia Securities Trading Company Limited. In 1997, ABN AMRO ASIA (Holdings) Limited acquired the equity of the company and became the company's major shareholder and consequently changed its name to ABN AMRO ASIA SECURITIES PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED. At present, ABN AMRO is no longer the company's major shareholder but remains the company's trusted business partner.
The company merged with Asset Plus Securities Company Limited, a leader in investment banking service in 2004 and invested in the entire shares of Asset Plus Fund Management Company Limited.
