Nok Air will resume its Chiang Rai service late this month after suspending it four years ago in a cost-cutting move.
A company insider yesterday said the northern city will become the 19th destination in the budget airline's network when the maiden flight takes off from its temporary base at Suvarnabhumi airport on Dec 28.
Chiang Rai forms part of Nok Air's new wave of domestic route expansion after the airline recently took delivery of three leased Boeing 737-800s.
