Full-service airlines operating on the Bangkok-Colombo route are facing a new challenge, with Thai AirAsia (TAA) poised to become the first low-cost carrier flying the sector.
TAA will commence daily flights to Sri Lanka's capital and largest city on March 1.
The move is part of a network expansion that will see at least three new routes this year.
