Bangkok's flood-ravaged Don Mueang Airport could resume operations ahead of the April 1 target date, enabling two Thai budget airlines to return to their base from crowded Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Anirut Thanomkulbutra, president of Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT), indicated Don Meuang's Terminal 1 (T1), through which Nok Air and Orient Thai Airlines normally operate, could be opened a few weeks in advance.
"We're doing our best to have T1 reopened sooner and next week we should know the exact date," he said.
