Southeast Asia will be the Asia-Pacific region to lead growth in global demand for new aircraft over the next two decades, says the US plane maker Boeing.
A Boeing 787 lands at Suvarnabhumi Airport last Thursday ahead of its exhibition at the Singapore Airshow on Saturday.
The region's economic growth, expanding at least 5-6% a year over the next 20 years, and the proliferation of low-cost carriers will drive demand for new aeroplanes, said Ralph Boyce, president of Boeing Southeast Asia.
