Thai AirAsia flies high in Q4

Thai AirAsia (TAA), Thailand's largest low-cost carrier, carried 25% more passengers in last year's fourth quarter to reach a record 2.27 million while achieving a 4% improvement in load factor to 82%.

The October-December figures raised the cumulative passenger numbers for the whole of 2012 to 8.30 million (up 21% from 2011) and the load factor to 82% (up 2%), according to figures released by the airline.

In the last quarter, TAA raised its capacity by 19% to 2.77 million seats as two A320 jets were added to its fleet.
